We have investigated the main microalgal species composition and biomass, and hydrochenistry of surface lake water of Hongfeng Lake water of Hongfeng Lake and Aha Lake from January to December in 2002. The lake water belongs to HCO{sub}3-Ca-Mg type. The orders of ionic concentration are (HCO{sub}3){sup}->(SO{sub}4){sup}(2-)>Cl{sup}->(NO{sub}3){sup}- and Ca{sup}(2+)>Mg{sup}(2+)>K{sup}+ +Na{sup}+.The main solutes of the lake water; and extent of these impacts to Baihua lake and Hongfeng lake was different because of different space and time. The concentration change of the lake water solutes was mainly affecented by rainfall (climate factor), whereas microalgal species of the two lakes were Cyanophyta and Bacikkariophyta bloom in turn. Baihua Lake and Hongfeng Lake are abundant in (HCO{sub}3){sup}-, so the biomasses of Chloprophyta and Bacillariophyta,which need inorganic carbon instead of silicon, have determined the total microalgal biomasses according to our study.
