摘要

The paper describes the nature and possibilities of the method of the dependent count~(TM) (MDC) for digital tachometers and tachometric systems. The proposed concept for digital tachometers and tachometric systems provides constant quantization error in all rotation speed range from 0.01 up to hundreds thousands rpm with non-redundant conversion time at the error of measurement not exceed the beforehand given for every measurement. The novel advanced method has also self-adaptation possibilities. The possible applications include high precision tachometric systems, industrial tachometers including hand-held and virtual measuring instruments. The comparative analyse of existing advanced measurement methods for modern high performances tachometers and tachometric systems also are given in the Paper.
