Historically,the discovery of highly active olefin polymerization catalysts has been the key for creating novel polymers with new or improved materials properties1,as demonstrated by the discovery of TiCl_4/R_3Al_2,MgCl_2-supported TiCl_4,and group 4 metallocene catalysts4.Therefore,efforts aimed at developing highly active new olefin polymerization catalysts have been intensively pursued in both academic and industrial research groups.As a consequence,quite a few highly active catalysts based on both early and late transition metal complexes have been developed5.
