From consciousness to unconsciousness - a model of motor skill acquisition

摘要

We sometimes encounter with such a situation where "my hand worked by itself without my conscious control." We propose a scheme of such a kind of motor skill acquisition where a motor control under a conscious sensory feedback at the beginning changes gradually with repetitions for a habit motion with less and less feedback and finally becomes completely an unconscious feedforward motion without any feedback whatsoever. We deal with the case of grasping an object with a hand, where a scheme of above mentioned motor skill acquisition is proposed in detail.
