摘要

This paper concerns information content in observations of clouds by use of 95GHz cloud radar and lidar systems with Doppler and dual-polarization functions. Our main objective is to establish the algorithm to derive cloud mi-crophysics by the combination of these two active sensors. One unique feature of the algorithm is that the attenuation for the lidar signal is corrected by referring to the microphysics determined in each cloud layer. We performed ground based observations since February, 2000 in Kashima, Japan. We discuss about the preliminary results retrieved by the system and show the relations between effective radius, ice water content (IWC) and falling velocity.
