Cellulose Films An important component in several alkaline battery systems

Materials such as cotton,hemp and silk fabrics have been used in batteries for almost 150 years.In the early construction of several cell systems,including dry cells,cloths and clothing fabrics were utilised to wrap an electrode material and provide intimate contact with electrolyte.Performance was improved by using denser semi-permeable cellulose film,instead of the open structured fibrous materials.
