Complexity of a design affects the product's total attractiveness to the customer. Analysis and control of complexity is therefore an important component of a company's systematic product development plan. There is a need for a systematic technique to deal with design complexity. This paper describes an on going research where complexity is investigated from different perspectives and outlines possible design tools that can be used to resolve complexity.
