ANNUAL REPORT OF AFS DIVISION COUNCIL CHAIRMAN (July 1,1999-June 30, 2000)

With the recent changes in leadership at AFS, it was necessary to revise the officer positions on the Division Council. Effective at the June 13, 2000 Division Council meeting the following changes were made. Chuck Ruud became vice chairman and Tim McMillin of MAGMA Technologies became secretary. Tim is the first officer to have extensive experience working within one of the management divisions. The hope is that this will help to further our goal of uniting the technical and management aspects of the society. At our regular summer meeting, held on June 13, 2000, Dwight Barnhard informed the members of the new direction AFS would take to be even more service oriented. An update of new positions and responsibilities was presented to the Council. Dwight expressed his desire to have more open communication between the staff and members of AFS working on various committees.
