Vitamins were screened to ascertain their effect on growth and speculation of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cumini in vitamin free Richards' solution. Biotin (Ippm) supported the maximum (455.50 mg) dry mycelial weight and sporulation followed by riboflavin and thiamine. Cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.) wilt is a destructive and wide spread disease in Gujarat (upto 96%) and Rajasthan. (Patel and Prasad, 1963) and causing serious loss in yield (upto 20%) in Rajasthan and Gujarat (Mathur and Prasad, 1964 and Anon., 1992-96). Some fungi are capable of synthesizing the required vitamins but other are dependent on exogenous supply (Ghos, 1966; Garraway and Evans, 1984). Thus, their requirement need to ascertained for physiological and pathogenic studies.
