The lithium ion batteries have drawn great interest because of its high voltage and low self-discharge rate.Graphite anode for lithium ion batteries shows flat charge/discharge curves which is an advantage for an electrode material,but it suffers from large irreversible capacity loss in the first charge/discharge cycle and poor cycleability due to the destruction of the graphite structure(exfoliation).In this paper,the graphite electrode was modified by pyrolyzed resol.The cycleability improvement of the graphite electrodes was observed by the surface modification.
