Study on passive and low energy methods for post-office building in warm climate - 1: half-energy model building and energy consumption

摘要

A small post office named "Half-Energy Post Office" was built in the warm climate in the east of Hiroshima prefecture. In this building several passive and low energy methods, such as shadings, high insulation, natural cross-ventilation, floor cooling and radiant cooling by well water, high efficiency lighting, nighttime heat storage system and so on, were adopted. And also the PV electric power generation was installed. In this paper the outline of this building and the energy consumption results are illustrated, and the building's high performance is shown.
