Conventional Supply chain management (SCM) is not always concerned with the optimal solutions in terms of product distribution. Generally social activities with human interaction contain adaptive solving mechanism on distributed resource allocation problem. We formulate supply chain model as a discrete resource allocation problem, and demonstrate the applicability of sociological analysis to this framework. Our supply chain model consists of several business units, defined as software agents with multiple utilities. An effective SCM is attainable with sociological analogy.
