CO{sub}2-laser fabricated long-period grating sensors in graded- index multimode fibers

摘要

We report long-period grating fabricated in a graded-index multimode fiber by deforming the geometry of the fiber periodically with a focused CO{sub}2-laser beam. The sensing applications of such multimode fiber long-period gratings are proposed.
