THE GOLD REFINERY AT BARRICK GOLDSTRIKE MINES

The gold refinery at Barrick Goldstrike Mines has increased production to more than 2,000,000 ounces poured per year while reducing the labor requirement. Safety and health has not been compromised with this increased production and in fact incident rats and exposures have reduced over the past five years. Streamlining procedures, improving ergonomics and the wise use of unique innovations has accomplished this significant achievement.
