Using urea feed blocks in fattening awassi lambs

The potential of using urea feed blocks as a nitrogen supplement for fattening Awassi lambs was investigated in on-station and on-farm experiments. This was part of a program of adaptive research to demonstrate the possibility of improving the performance of fattening lambs fed whole barley grain, which is traditionally used by farmers in Iraq. Feed blocks were manufactured from urea and locally available agro-industrial by-products.
