摘要

This paper estimates the seismic effects on tall chimney stacks that are modeled by one- mass and n-mass systems. To mitigate the mentioned effects an optimal tuned mass damper (OTMD) is used in both cases. A convenient and simple structural tuned mass damper of a pendulum type that was installed in many is described.
