摘要

The effect of laboratory ageing on the microstructure and properties of 2.25CrlMo low alloy steel has been investigated. Microstructural changes have been characterised using metallographic techniques and by undertaking selected mechanical tests. Results obtained indicate that precipitate coarsening leads to a reduction in hardness and an increase in brittle ductile transition temperature. Similar changes were observed in material which had been subjected to long term service under elevated temperature conditions
