In this paper, the J-integral values of three types of cracks: co-linear double cracks, a single crack which is one of the co-linear double cracks, and a center crack which merged from the co-linear double cracks, under uniform tensile loading have been calculated by means of elastic-plastic finite element method. Furthermore, The interference of J-integrals between a pair of co-linear cracks under plane stress condition has been investigated by comparison of the J-integral values between the different types of cracks. It is concluded that the interference of J-integrals is equivalent to that of stress intensity factory in elastic stage, and much different from that of K factors in elastic-plastic regime.
