Biomechanical evaluation of a plantar orthosis for a Linear Morphea patient

Linear morphea is a disease that affects the subcutaneous tissue and the skin generating its hardening due to the excess ofcollagen production, causing joint contracture that can involve muscle and bone preventing the growth of the affectedlimb. This study analyzes the gait of a patient who was diagnosed with this pathology, a biomechanical analysis wasperformed using baropodometric tests and gait analysis. For this, conventional tests were carried out using specializedsensors, how the test results were designed and the development of an orthotic support device, as an actuator to improvethe patient's condition. Subsequently, the use of the device in the patient was implemented to evaluate its effectiveness bycomparing the tests performed before and after use. It was identified that improves the quality of the patient gait and inthe parameters such as the distribution of body weight and its stability.
