(766) SCIENCE AS A TOOL TO PROMOTE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS (PEACE AND DEMOCRACY)

摘要

The present work focuses on the discussion of scientific topics found in the media, under the new inspiring critical view of undergraduates. By the confrontation of pros and cons, with an open-minded position, civilized debates and the presentation of different points of views are promoted; thus, everyone could be enriched with the suggestions coming from the other members of the group. In such a way, young citizens have worked on science, critical thinking skills and mutual respect. With this project, not only their academic skills were enhanced, but democracy and peace have also been benefit.
