In order to explore the changes of physiological characteristics of grape leaves in different periods during the cultivation of the plants, the main physiological characteristics of the various stages were determined during the growth period of the leaves. The results showed that soluble protein content, chlorophyll content, antioxidant enzymes (SOD, POD, CAT) activity were highest in the late functional leaves, low in senescence and weak in activity, and lowest in chlorophyll a/b in young leaves. As the growth period of the leaves progressed, the proline content increased, the protein degradation accelerated, and the cumulative rate of malondialdehyde increased.
