ON THE APPROACH TO IDENTIFYING QUANTITATIVE TRAIT LOCI IN BEHAVIOR GENETICS

Proposed is a new method for identifying chromosome quantitative trait loci, which are responsible for certain human characteristics. The method is based on both the information theory facilities and statistical hypothesis testing. One of its features is statistical analysis of pseudosolutions of over determined sets of linear equations, which include parameters resulted from sample estimates and represent balances of genetic and environment influences. The peculiarities of this approach are shown by the example of studying gender influences on children's twin electroencephalography data.
