A recently developed turbulent combustion model, namely the dynamic second-order moment closure (DSMC) model is used to simulate the Sydney piloted partially premixed flames with inhomogeneous inlets in the framework of LES. Although a simple four-step global reaction mechanism is applied, good agreement is observed for time-averaged radial profiles, scatter plots and conditional profiles for mixture fraction and temperature, implying the capability to reproduce the partially premixed flames with the DSMC model.
