摘要

The article presents a method to calculate the residual strength of built-up aircraft structures damaged by widespread fatigue damages (WFD). The results of computational and experimental studies on fracture characteristics of passenger An-10A aircraft wing damaged by WFD are presented. Paper also shows the experimental data such as fatigue, crack lengths and growth duration and residual strength of plain specimens of longitudinal lap joint of airtight fuselage skin, damaged by multisite damages (MSD). Basing on results of these tests the correlation factors have been defined to account the effects of some design variations and manufacturing aspects while calculation of the stress intensity factors K in the longitudinal joints of fuselage skin.
