The manufacture of Aircraft is built around well-defined and proven processes and validated by a strict certification process. The safety of the product is paramount and both the airlines and fare paying passengers need to feel confidence in its operation. This paper highlights some of the industrial factors we face based on our Business, Engineering and Social issues and also some of the technical challenges we need to overcome in order to use Predictive Virtual Testing with confidence in Airbus.
