Beam dynamics analysis based on Lienard-Wiechert fields at bunch compressor in particle accelerator

摘要

This paper presents a beam dynamics simulation at a bunch compressor in a particle accelerator. To more exactly evaluate influences of surface charge and current induced on the accelerator tube for beam dynamics compared with the conventional analysis, the electromagnetic fields produced by the surface charge and current are evaluated by the Lienard-Wiechert fields expression.
