A balancing domain decomposition (BDD) method is considered as a numerical scheme of large scale computational models of electromagnetic field problems. In electromagnetic field problems, the dimension of the coarse grid problems appearing in BDD method depends on the product between the number of the subdomains and the dimension of piecewise linear finite element space in each subdomain. This fact causes that the BDD method is not efficient to parallel computations. Therefore, a multigrid strategy is introduced into the BDD method, and the reduced coarse grid problem is obtained, which depends on only the number of the subdomains.
