23.01.2020, WEEE waste is a complex, evolving and difficult waste stream to manage and treat. WEEE recyclers have worked hard to establish an effective approach to treatment and recycling. WEEE plastics, while not the largest proportion of plastic waste, is nevertheless valuable and capable of being treated and recycled back into polymer for use in products. Additives such as flame retardants are a challenge for treatment and recycling of WEEE plastics - but are the elephant in the room?
