Recently, we have developed equations that in principle give the exact activity distribution from half-knowledge of the data function in single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). These differential equations which describe the evolution of "variable" sinograms are manipulated into an integral form that is amenible to basis expansion. Numerical results of this method are presented.
