Recently, wind energy has grown rapidly as renewable energy. The blades are the most important components of wind turbine and play a key role in order to guarantee the service safety of wind turbine system. It is necessary to testing, inspecting and ensuring the quality of wind turbine blades. Wind turbine blades, made in polymer matrix composites materials, are complicated structure objects and have various defects. It is difficult to achieve wind turbine blades inspecting using one testing method only. In the paper, infrared thermography, ultrasonic phased arrays non-destructive testing, acoustic vibration monitoring are used to detect the defects lying different key areas of wind turbine blades. Such as surface or subsurface inclusion and delamination of leading edge and up-wing/down-wing side, unbonded of trailing edge and load carrying box, etc. It show application of hybrid non-destructive testing methods is a valid approach for inspecting wind turbine blades.
