This paper is based on work being carried out within a collaborative project called CROSS-IT, funded by the European Union FP7 framework for research for small-to-medium sized enterprises under grant agreement no 286981. The 2-year project began in November 2011 and is being co-ordinated by TWI. The inspection technologies being researched are based on a hybrid system between Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Ultrasonic Guided Waves (UGW). The project objectives, UGW technology, results obtained so far and future work will be discussed.
