Tire-Technology Trends

摘要

Trends of Tire technologies will be introduced. The Trends can be displayed in three domains, these are Environment (1), Safety (2) and Sustainability (3). These three domains must fulfil their scopes without any trade off. In order to achieve the target of each single domain, wide and deep Research & Development work is necessary. Starting with material development than structure design and testing and evaluations, and also for the security of the resources. Furthermore innovative technology development is necessary for the long term promise which includes activities beyond the tire. These R&D activities will contribute to the appearance of a sustainable society. In this part, examples of R&D approach will be introduced with background and technical logic. Also expected highlights towards the future will be presented.
