This paper presents the results of usage relatively cheap hydrogen-fuel derived from biogas organic containing waste the local secondary renewable resources will contribute to the creation of autonomous economical systems of energy supply in Saint-Petersburg. A promising direction in the creation of autonomous power supply systems in low-rise residential development is the usage of fuel cells running on hydrogenous fuel derived from biogas, obtained from waste. Сollation data of thermodynamic calculations and data on material balance for an assessment of electric and thermal components in considered ways to use convention products, performance enhancement in the tandem system with full heat regeneration, using raw materials obtained from organic containing landfill waste testify to the high efficiency hydrogenous fuel usage. The overall effective efficiency of the tandem is higher than for each of the fuel cell elements separately.
