VALORIZATION OF ORGANIC MATTER EXTRACTED FROM MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE LEACHATE AS AGRICULTURAL SOIL ENRICHMENT: IMPACT ON THE CHARACTERISTICS OF SOILS FROM TOGO AND FRANCE

Although the European Union requires a strong reduction of the biodegradable part of municipal solid waste (MSW) landfilled (Directive 1999/31/CE), this fraction still represents more than 30% [1] of the total mass of waste landfilled in France in 2007. A significant organic load, is thus available through the leachate produced (30 < Dissolved Organic Carbon (mg C/L) < 27 700).
