The management of municipal solid waste, not oriented simply to manage waste but much more to recover the materials, has suffered in recent years because of the profound changes in both the changed regulatory framework (which today is fundamentally based on the new "waste hierarchy" defined by European directives) is due to the increased sensitivity to the environment and the spread of environmental sustainability criteria. Municipalities strong tourist present some specific features that make the design and implementation of systems of waste management necessarily dynamic in all their phases.
