摘要

The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is responsible for maintaining the homeostasis of neuroparenchymal microenvironment; which limits the entry of blood components into the brain and is essential for the normal function of brain. We previously reported that exposure to electromagnetic pulse (EMP) caused an increase in BBB permeability in rats 'by mechanisms involving BBB tight junction alteration [1, 2]. It was reported that protein kinase, C (PKC) signal transduction pathway plays an important role 'in regulating BBB function. The aim of this study was to investigate whether PKC signaling contributes to EMP-induced BBB permeability. change.
