City of Quincy Washington Reclaimed Water and Industrial Reuse Utility Formation

Three large data centers (Microsoft, Yahoo! and Intuit) located to the City of Quincy, Washington, (City) because of low electrical power cost, high electrical power reliability (>99.99 percent reliability), inexpensive land and an existing fiber optic network. The data centers utilize cooling towers for cooling which produced non-contact cooling water which required treatment and disposal. The data centers requested a water supply for cooling and the disposal of non-contact cooling water from the City.
