Microfluidic chip for the separation and identification of proteins using dynamic isoelectric focusing coupled to MALDI mass spectrometry (DIEF-MALDI-MS)

Currently we are working on a chip which can deposit six fractions of separated proteins at a time on a MALDI target. We have successfully operated the chip to deposit the sample fractions and are working on optimizing the separation conditions. Our future work aims to separate a specific protein from a complex mixture and identify it using MALDI mass spectrometry.
