1. Urinary matrix presents unique challenges for DNA adduct analysis from human urothelial cells; 2. The developed protocol for analysis of C8-dG-4-ABP adducts provides for good recovery with LOD of 56 amol and LOQ of 220 amol using only 2 ug of DNA; 3. The small population of human samples screened failed to show the presence of C8-dG-4-ABP adducts above the method's LOD. Further work with an expanded pool of subjects is underway.
