Nowadays, most three-axis stabilized satellites perform station keeping manoeuvres in Station Keeping Mode, which must frequently change satellite work mode. So it increases the complication of operation procedure and the ratio of operation mistakes. If west station keeping manoeuvres is performed in Normal Mode, the above-mentioned question will not exist. By researching and comparing the west station keeping manoeuvres in Station Keeping Mode with the west station keeping manoeuvres in Normal Mode, this paper puts forward one control strategy for west station keeping manoeuvres in Normal Mode. These strategies will not only simplify satellite operation procedure, improve the control result, but also decrease consumption of propellant and thus prolong the satellite's life.
