Pianist with Coohlear Implant

摘要

Cochlear implants is known as an effective cure for deaf patients in all over the world. Most of them can improve hearing ability communication by cochlear implants. However, it is difficult that they can enjoy music with cochlear implants. Music has complicate sound components, melody, rhythm, fortissimo and pianissimo. Cochlear implanted people needs not only sound but also visual keys for better hearing. We report one patient who stopped playing piano due to deaf life and could return to music life after cochlear implanntation. She fainally improved hearing ability so as to be able to participate in the piano contest with not by hearing aid but cochlear implant.
