During the last few decades, the experience that has been accumulated in the field of international cooperation to mitigate nuclear terrorism has established that the multinational efforts in this field have unfortunately been subordinated to the achievement of wider national purposes of states participating in the process that impede —to some extent—the achievement of more tangible progress in original sphere.
