Modeling hourly evapotranspiration of buckwheat based on Penman-Monteith method

For estimation of evapotranspiration (ETC) of buckwheat based on Penman-Monteith approach, a canopy resistance (rc) model was developed. The climate data were observed during buckwheat growth season. The proposed model of rc was developed by a climatic resistance (r) that depends on climatic variables. Non-linear relationships between rc and r was found. The measured ETC using Bowen ratio energy balance method was applied for model validation. The statistical analysis showed that there was no significant difference between predicted ETC by proposed model and measured ETC. The study provided an easy way for the application of Penman-Monteith equation with only general available meteorological database.
