Capillary Electrophoresis Separation of Glycosaminoglycans Followed by Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Capillary electrophoresis separates glycosaminoglycans based on their electronic properties in a non-destructive manner without preparing or modifying the sample beforehand. By utilizing tandem mass spectrometry together with this technique, the glycosaminoglycans can be identified and fragmented for further structural analysis.
