CCS estimated for complex 3 is the smallest, which is attributed to the different effect of adamantane ligand size comparing with PPh_3 and PCy_3 Tricyclohexyl derivative forms the most extended conformation in solution as well as in the gas phase which might be connected with the steric effect of the bulky PCy_3 group Stability order of investigated complexes is similar in solution to that in the gas phase Difference between CCSs of protonated [Ru(II)] and nonprotonated [Ru(III)] forms of complex 3 might be connected with different dipole moment of each species. Oxidation of Ru atom was observed in the present of chlorinated solvents probably due to electrospray.
