In addition to being rapid, the method presented requires no extensive sample preparation and is performed completely on-line. The method has a dynamic range within expected physiological values for LTE4 in urine. Accuracy and precision are superior to the more traditional enzyme immunoassay method of LTE4 measurement. This method offers a much more reliable means for analyzing LTE4 in urine for clinical research and monitoring the effectiveness of LTRA therapy.
