摘要

The iron & steel-work off-gases e.g. blast furnace gas (BFG), basic oxygen furnace gas (BOFG) and coke oven gas (COG) are generally used for heating or power generation, but utilization efficiency of these gases is low. A total solution which could economically generates 99%vol. purity CO by using PU-1 molecular sieve and vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) process, makes it possible that producing chemical products by BFG, BOFG or COG efficiently. This solution has been applied in two iron & steel companies in China. One is producing formic acid using BOFG, and the other is produce ethylene glycol (EG) using BOFG and COG. Iron & steel-Chemical combined Making Technology paves a way for green development in future for iron-steel companies, for it increases the gases utilization efficiency and reduces the CO_2 emissions.
