In heat-treated Ti-10at%Si alloys, characteristics of oxidation and interference color properties are investigated. A Ti-10at%Si alloy is prepared by mechanically alloying and pulsed current sintering. For the heat treatment a tubular furnace is used, and samples were heated under Ar flowing. Color properties and oxide layers are studied by measuring spectral reflectance. Mechanically alloyed Ti-10at%Si powder is nano crystal with super saturated solid solution phase. The powder can be sintered at 823K densely by pulsed current sintering. The temperature range of the blue color of the Ti-10at%Si was wider than that of pure Ti after heat treatment. The growth rate of oxide layer of Ti-10at%Si proved to be lower than that of Ti at the same temperature of heat treatment, and the temperature sensitivity of color of Ti-10at%Si was low, i.e. the color is easy to control by heat treatment.
