Achievements and Expectations of China Tianzhou-1 Cargo Spaceship

The cargo spaceship named Tianzhou is a kind of newly-developed manned spacecraft for China Space Station Project. Its main mission is to transport goods and propellants for space station and space laboratory, and take back wasted materials from space station to aerosphere burned. The first cargo spaceship 'Tianzhou-1' has been launched by the Long March-7 vehicle in Hainan spacecraft launch center. Tianzhou-1 will automatically dock with Tiangong-2 space laboratory launched in 15th, Sep. 2016. The two spacecraft will carry out propellant feeding experiment on orbit, which is a key technology of China space station. This paper is mainly to introduce the general design scheme, technical features, mission planning and achievement of Tianzhou-1.
