The purpose of a quasi-experimental research was to examine the effectiveness of an education on AIDS and the promotion of a family relationship program on reducing risk behavior of HIV infections in high school students. The conceptual framework was developed from Pender's Health Promotion Model and Olson's Circumplex Model. The simple random sampling of 120 high school students was classified either as an experimental or a control group equally. The instruments were The Educating and Promoting Family Relationship Program and handbooks. The results show that the variance scores of risk behavior in contacting HIV were significantly different between two groups(p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference between the two groups on time interval (p>0.05). This program can help to reduce risk behavior in contacting HIV among high school students.
